Twas The (hubbers) Night Before Christmas

Updated on March 14, 2013

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through Hubpages,

Not a member was frustrated at the absence of wages.

All the counting of followers and fretting over traffic,

Was left to the cold-hearted Scrooge-like fanatic.

The best of the hubbers were just happy to be there,

Writing to write and content just to share.

marcoujor in her pajamas and me in mine too,

Blabbering at three am with nothing else to do.

When across the board we could sense something brewing,

So we snooped around to see what the hubbers were doing.

I clicked my mouse and needed not to go far,

"There's a brand new hub just published by lone77star!"

bravewarrior and fpherj48 then suddenly appeared,

Hub after hub, “look there’s one by Captain Redbeard”.

It was such a great treat getting to read all these folks,

Like little digital visits from pals like K9keystrokes.

But it was late at night, it's now time to go,

Time to log-off and say goodnight to Docmo.

Goodnight to Gypsy Rose Lee and to MartieCoetser and to Sunnie Day,

Goodnight and sweet dreams and nothing more to say.

One after another all the hubbers had flown,

Even A Troubled Man went to bed and left the Christians alone.

But I heard ImKarn23 exclaim as my screen lost it’s light,

“Happy Christmas to all and to all a goodnight!”
